Emmy-winning director David Nutter (Disturbing Behavior) has been tapped by New Line Cinema to direct the vampire thriller Darksiders.
Written by Tom Parker and Jim Jennewein, the film revolves around a band of bloodsuckers who are turned into special operatives for the FBI. Given the bloodlust they show for their work, the vampires are closely monitored by the government agency.
Best known as a TV director, Nutter has helmed episodes of such series as ER, Dark Angel, Smallville, the new WB Network series Tarzan and The X-Files. He won an Emmy for his work directing episodes of the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers and has had the unusual honor of having the past seven TV pilots he has directed picked up.
